<p>I am not at all familiar with Blackberry OS. But I'm sure they
don't support OpenPGP by default. So you'd need to find an app that
understands OpenPGP, can import your Pub/Sec key (please
<em>never</em> send your key pair to your mobile via email! - the
sec key is never to be shared) and then do the encryption.</p>
<p>All the best,<br>

wouldn't decrypt it.</p></div>Harttag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/361198202015-02-24T11:12:04Z2015-02-24T11:12:04ZEmail on Mac Sent to BlackBerry Not Decrypted<div><p>Do I understand correctly that the latest Blackberry OS (what
version is that?) does support OpenPGP by default? I'm astonished.
That would be great news.</p>
<p>Can you try to find out if they support PGP/mime or only
InlinePGP. A possibility would be that they only support the
non-standardized InlinePGP. Since GPGMail defaults to PGP/mime that
could lead to problems.</p>
<p>Here's our stance on why we use PGP/mime as default and how to
switch to InlinePGP to maybe test this out:</p>
<p>GPGMail defaults to the only standard there is for sending
OpenPGP Mails, which is PGP/MIME. The format you are referring to,
is called PGP/Inline and is an undocumented non-standard format,
which leads to several problems, which is why we default to
PGP/MIME.</p>
<p>Nevertheless you can switch GPGMail to use OpenPGP/Inline. While
this is not encouraged, we've added that option.<br>
Find out how to do that <a href=
"http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq-gpgmail/gpgmail-2-hidden-settings#enable-pgp-inline-for-support-of-legacy-mail-clients-important-for-windows-compatability-">
here</a>.</p>
<p>There's no difference in security level, yet you have to be
aware, that while PGP/MIME also encrypts all attachments,
OpenPGP/Inline does not!</p>
<p>Also, you're limited to text only. Any formatting will be
ignored.</p>
<p>If you want to read more about the deficites of Inline/PGP you
may want to read this note of Daniel Kahn Gillmore called <a href=

PGP signatures considered harmful</a>. This is the <a href=
"https://www.gnupg.org/faq/gnupg-faq.html#use_pgpmime">GnuPG FAQ
entry</a> covering this question.</p>

now built in to BlackBerry OS, and I can encrypt on my BB and have
it readable in Mail using GPGMail, neither the PGP/MIME nor the
PGP/Inline formats can be handled by BlackBerry. It would appear
that it can parse emails with attachments named ATT00001 and
ATT00002.bin for the signing information and message payload
respectively, however, when these appear named differently, or the
text is inline, the OS simply states the message cannot be decoded.
GPGMail has no difficulty decoding any of these formats, so I
suggest it be raised as an issue with BlackBerry, in order to
increase their support for encrypted messaging.</p></div>Marktag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/361198202015-02-26T17:33:43Z2015-02-26T17:33:43ZEmail on Mac Sent to BlackBerry Not Decrypted<div><p>Hi Mark,</p>
<p>it sounds like that. As stated above the most desirable solution
on their side would be to have proper support for PGP/MIME. Can you
raise this as an issue with Blackberry and report back, what they
do respond to that?</p>
<p>Kindly,<br>

the keys when exported and that blackberry cannot handle any key
that has any type of compression? Is there a way to export your
keys without any compression so I can test this theory? Not too
fermiliar with this. Also pgp is only available so far with
blackberry 10 os 10.3.1 and later but for now only to BES
customers. Hopefully that will change soon.</p></div>mhart343tag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/361198202015-04-01T17:17:01Z2015-04-01T17:17:01ZEmail on Mac Sent to BlackBerry Not Decrypted<div><p>Hi Mark,</p>
<p>just to make sure, did you manage to decrypt any message (sent
