<p>sig 3: the number indicates how carefully you've checked that
the key owner is indeed who he claims to be. Since the signatures
you are referring to is the keys self-signature, in the new version
GPG Keychain only creates a single signature which will then show
as "Sig 3".</p>
<p>The Key-ID: Is an 8 digit number which allows to easily find
your key. It's not as secure as using the fingerprint (which has a
few more digits) but more human readable. You can find the
fingerprint by double clicking your sec/pub key and looking at the
key details.</p>
<p>You can easily test your passphrase by encrypting and then
decrypting a file with GPGServices:</p>

</ul>
<p>Before doing that, make sure to remove any previously stored
passphrases in GPGPreferences and untick the option to store
passphrases in the OSX keychain by default.</p>
<p>Feel free to test the latest nightly GPG Suite (which already
includes many improvements since the last stable release): <a href=

<p>Let me know how this goes,<br>

<p>With regards to the Nightly Builds, what has been updated? Are
there release notes?</p>
<p>Thanks</p>

ready in the coming days. And a nice changelog will be available
once the final release is out.</p>
<p>If you are on the nightly channel and do regular updates you'll
receive the commit notes via the sparkle changelog info.</p>

from my <a href=

first comment</a>.</p>
<p>Sparkle is the update mechanism we use to keep you updated to
the latst nightly once you are on that channel. That mechanism also
shows what has been changed.</p>
<p>Once the nightly is installed you can manage which channel you
want to use in GPGPreferences.</p>
<p>All the best,<br>
