is this in Mail.app?

Could you please visit <a href=

download the latest GPGTools_Installer-trunk.dmg file.

Run that on your system and see if the problem persists.

yes this is in mail.app

I had download this from your website and installed it
<a href=

Version 2012.03.18
Requires >= OS X 10.5

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/178738032012-08-11T18:32:14Z2012-08-11T18:32:14ZPublic key and Import and export key

Hey Brad & Jamerson,

let's continue here. Otherwise things would have gotten too
complicated.

We just fixed a few bugs in GPG Keychain Access. Could you both
please test the nightly build of GPG Keychain Access or the
GPGTools_Installer build from here: https://nightly.gpgtools.org/

Let us know if that fixes your problem. Should your issue
persist, could you please provide a link to the place where you
found the key you want to paste into GPG Keychain Access? Or if
it's not on the web, attach the pub key in a text file, so we can
test and see if we can reproduce the problem.

Thanks and all the best :)
out the network I was using blocked ports.
But... I still don't know how to use GPG Tools to verify the
signature on a file. Is there a URL for a how-to on that?

BDGtag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/178738032012-08-12T23:02:14Z2012-08-12T23:02:14ZPublic key and Import and export key

Its kind of a pain as I recall.

Notice the follow up. You have to get the signatures and then
you have to "trust" them.

I think I eventually (a few years ago) just gave up. I haven't
tried recently.

pedzsantag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/178738032012-08-14T11:10:47Z2012-08-14T11:19:10ZPublic key and Import and export key

Hi all,

let's try to solve this:

Two requirements have to be matched in this scenario:

Signature file and Signed File have to be in the same folder
(otherwise this won't work)

please update to the latest GPGServices nightly from here:
https://nightly.gpgtools.org/

Read http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq/how-do-i-activate-gpgservices
to find out how to active GPGServices.

After that to verify the signature of a file, simply right-click
on the signature file (.sig or .asc extension)
and select Service -> OpenPGP: Verify signature of file

Let us know if that works.

@all: Should your problem persist, feel free to re-open this
discussion any time.
